MY LATEST PROJECTS

In A Christmas Carol, I had the absolute joy of stepping into not one, but two memorable roles: the rattling, chain-dragging Jacob Marley and the delightfully dubious Old Joe. From Marley’s ghostly warnings of equal parts spooky and heartfelt, to Old Joe’s wink-and-nudge opportunism, the contrast between these characters was a blast to explore and perform. Together, they add humor, humanity, and just a touch of mischief to Dickens’ timeless tale, reminding audiences that even in the darkest moments, there’s room for laughter, learning, and a little Christmas spirit.

This play was the 35th showing of A Christmas Carol produced by The Fantasy Playhouse Childrens Theater" at the Von Braun Center in Huntsvill, AL.

Welcome to the yada, yada

This is the part where I humbly brag about , well...me, but let’s be honest—you’re here for the demo

Hey there! I’m Bruce — an award-winning voice actor running on coffee, bad decisions, and the hope that everything sorts itself out eventually.

- Army Veteran: The military taught me resilience, focus, and how to lead big teams — all of which come in handy when tackling tight turnarounds and tricky scripts.

- Former College Cheerleader: Yep, I can hype up a crowd, call cadence, and keep the energy high no matter what’s in the booth (or on the field).

- Dog Dad Life: When I’m not behind the mic, I’m hanging out with my chocolate lab Jane and my corgi Winston — or as he prefers to be called, Winnie the Bish.

- Martial Arts Junkie: Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, with training in Shotokan, Goju-Ryu, Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, and even Muay Thai (yep, I flew to Thailand for that one). Let’s just say discipline and focus are second nature.

- Performer Since Forever: I’ve been in print modeling, acting, and theatre — voiceover just became my favorite way to tell stories.

My Studio Setup:
I record from a custom-built, acoustically treated booth designed with GIK Acoustics (24 - four-inch panels of pure silence magic). Here’s what powers the sound:

  • UAD Sphere LX Microphone

  • UA Apollo Solo Interface + UAD2-Satellite

  • Adobe Audition CC with UAD, Waves & iZotope RX plugins

  • MacBook Air M3, 24GB RAM, dedicated high-speed line

  • Source Connect ID: bruce_nix

- Fun Fact: Before voice acting, I spent 20+ years in IT consulting — and have learned that your brand deserves more than a logo—it deserves a story that connects..
